These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of meritprep.in and the MeritPrep learning platform ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
MeritPrep is operated as a sole proprietorship by Deepak Sharma, based in Madhya Pradesh, India. In these Terms, "MeritPrep", "we", "us", and "our" refer to this proprietorship.
You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
You may use parts of the Service without an account. To save your progress across devices and to purchase a paid plan, you must sign in with a Google account. You agree to:

MeritPrep provides an online learning platform for the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSSB) Basic Computer Instructor (BCI) examination, including lessons, multiple-choice questions, flashcards, mock tests, and progress tracking. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
No examination guarantee. MeritPrep is independent and not affiliated with RSSB or any government body. Our content is prepared as study aid material and does not guarantee any particular score, selection result, or examination outcome. Examination patterns, syllabus, and question types may change at any time without notice; we make reasonable efforts to keep content updated but do not warrant its completeness or accuracy.
Parts of the Service are available free of charge. Certain features, subjects, or content may require a paid plan ("Paid Plan"). Available plans, prices, and inclusions are displayed on the Service at the time of purchase.
All payments for Paid Plans are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. By purchasing a Paid Plan, you authorise us, through Razorpay, to charge the fees applicable to that plan. All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Access to a Paid Plan is granted for the duration specified at the time of purchase. We do not currently offer auto-renewing subscriptions; you will need to actively renew to extend access.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms (and payment of applicable fees, where relevant), we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial study purposes.
All content on the Service — including but not limited to lessons, questions, explanations, diagrams, mock tests, flashcards, user interface, source code, logos, and trademarks — is the property of MeritPrep or its licensors and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws.

The Service relies on third-party services such as Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, database), Razorpay (payments), and Zoho (email). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond reasonable diligence in selecting them.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, and uninterrupted availability.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall MeritPrep, its proprietor, employees, agents, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or examination outcomes, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total cumulative liability for any direct damages arising out of or in connection with the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the Paid Plan in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is lower.
You agree to indemnify and hold MeritPrep, its proprietor, and its agents harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
We may, at our discretion and without liability, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes that affect Paid Plan benefits.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing help@meritprep.in. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) shall survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer protection laws, the courts at Madhya Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
